Who is?

General Jan Dodonna is a high-ranking military leader in the Rebel Alliance during the original Star Wars trilogy. He first appears in Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope as one of the key strategists behind the Rebel attack on the Death Star. Dodonna is responsible for planning the assault, giving the famous briefing to the Rebel pilots, and explaining how they can destroy the Death Star by targeting its thermal exhaust port.

Dodonna’s calm leadership and strategic expertise make him a respected figure within the Rebel ranks. He is one of the earliest generals seen in the Rebel Alliance and plays a crucial role in the Battle of Yavin, which leads to the destruction of the first Death Star.
