Beats, Buds, and the Big Bad City: Mr. Brixxter Plays at Jimmy's Opening!
The asphalt in the Big Bad City was still glowing at 40 degrees when the doors to the Urban Haze Shop finally opened on Friday evening. Of course, I couldn't miss that. So: I threw on my Mr. Brixxter jacket and headed to the neighborhood to check out what the new shop had to offer.

From a distance, Jimmy could be seen grinning widely in his loud Hawaiian shirt in his shop window – the perfect spot to supply the street directly with gleaming buds and masterfully rolled blunts. He was just giving a small welcome speech to the neighborhood locals and introducing the new strains when he spotted me in the crowd.

"Man, perfect that you're here!" he called to me. "My DJ just canceled. Do you want to take over the music tonight?"
He didn't have to ask me twice. I went straight to the car, got the record cases, and took over the decks in the shop. The pictures speak for themselves (I'm the guy in the yellow jacket and red cap behind the turntables!): The atmosphere was completely wild. People danced, laughed, and had deep, relaxed discussions among the shelves packed with OG Kush and Gorilla Glue. Outside the window, the line didn't let up, and the night owls stocked up on the finest material. An absolutely successful start for our neighborhood.

The dancing and partying continued until the early morning hours. Even the new neighbors were there and introduced themselves. Because right next door, in the empty shop, a skateboard & graffiti shop will be built. The perfect company for our BigBadCity block.
