General Cassio Tagge Bast was a senior officer in the Imperial Army, serving as one of the key strategists aboard the Death Star. Unlike many of his colleagues, Bast recognized the Rebel Alliance's growing threat and even warned Grand Moff Tarkin about the station’s vulnerabilities.

Despite his cautious nature, Bast was ultimately unable to escape the Death Star’s destruction during the Battle of Yavin, making him one of the many Imperial officers lost in the Rebellion’s first major victory.

A rare example of foresight within the Empire’s ranks, General Bast remains a key figure among Imperial strategists.
