Who is?

Colonel Bast was a high-ranking Imperial officer stationed aboard the Death Star in Star Wars: A New Hope (1977). As Chief of Military Operations , he correctly identified the threat of the Rebel attack and advised Grand Moff Tarkin to evacuate . However, Tarkin ignored his warning, leading to their deaths when the Death Star was destroyed at the Battle of Yavin .
