Who is?

Colonel Bast was a high-ranking Imperial officer stationed aboard the Death Star in Star Wars: A New Hope (1977). As Chief of Military Operations, he correctly identified the threat of the Rebel attack and advised Grand Moff Tarkin to evacuate. However, Tarkin ignored his warning, leading to their deaths when the Death Star was destroyed at the Battle of Yavin.
